Why get certified?
The CISSP designation is the gold standard for information security professionals. It will not necessarily get you the job you want, but it will help you get your foot in the door.
CISSP professionals are eligible to be listed in the official [(ISC)2] CISSP Directory, participate in their Speakers’ Bureau, serve on (ISC)2 committees, and participate in annual elections.
Why spend a week in a live class?
DVDs, books and pre-recorded webinars do not allow students to interact with the instructor. In a live classroom setting, the instructor can read body language to gage comprehension and can tailor the instruction to the interests and skill level of the students.
Why take the course with Creative Breakthroughs, Inc.?
Our instructors are real-world IT security professionals who work in the 10 security domains every day when away from the classroom.
What is included with the price of the boot camp?
Study materials, program courseware, self-testing software and post-class mentoring.
We also offer a guarantee that if you do not pass the exam, you can take the class again at no additional cost. (The student and/or his or her employer will be responsible for any examination fees and travel expenses incurred.)
Are there prerequisites?
There are none for taking the course, but students must have a minimum of four years of full-time experience in information security, or three years plus a Bachelor’s degree prior to registering for the CISSP examination. A Master’s Degree in Information Security from a National Center of Excellence can be allowed for one year toward the four-year requirement.
What about continuing education?
In order to keep the CISSP certification active, the student must recertify ever 3 years, with ongoing requirements for maintaining the required credentials. This is primarily accomplished through continuing professional education (CPE), and the earning of 120 CPE credits every three years. |
