Training

Our training program is broken down into three unique categories: exam preparation, security awareness training and CISSP training.

Exam Preparation
CBI is dedicated to educating IT professionals and preparing them for the next phase of industry knowledge. Through “boot camp” sessions delivered by our team of professionals armed with real world experience, we train computer professionals who want to broaden their knowledge by obtaining industry-specific certifications.

Security Awareness
A security awareness training program is central to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information for any business. We have found that the most effective training policy ensures that all employees are involved in using and managing IT—understanding roles and responsibilities, comprehending the IT security policy and procedures, and mastering the management, operations and technical controls available to protect IT resources.

CISSP
The CISSP designation is the gold standard for data security professionals. Those with the designation are eligible to be listed on the official [(ISC)2] CISSP Directory, participate in their speakers bureau, serve on (ISC)2 committees and participate in annual elections.

The boot camp includes study materials, program courseware, self-testing software and post-class monitoring. CBI also guarantees that, if a trainee doesn’t pass the exam, he or she can take the class a second time at no additional cost*.

While there are no prerequisites for taking the course, students must have minimum four years of full-time experience in the information security industry or three years and a Bachelor’s degree prior to registering for the CISSP exam. A Master’s degree in Information Security from a National Center of Excellence qualifies as one year toward the four-year requirement.

In order to maintain an active CISSP certification, the student must re-certify every three years, in addition to ongoing requirements for maintaining necessary credentials. This is primarily accomplished through continuing professional education (CPE) and the earning of 120 CPE credits every three years.
